Disputes within charities

VWV

Disputes within charities can be difficult and expensive to manage and cause potentially significant damage to their culture and reputation.

In this webinar we will highlight the legal, regulatory and other risks which can arise where there is a dispute within a charity and help trustees and senior leaders understand what steps they can take to mitigate those risks - as well as how best to handle a dispute if one does arise.

Con Alexander and  Kate Sherlock will look at:

  • Areas of potential dispute within a charity, whether involving its trustees, its members and supporters or its employees.
  • The key areas of legal and regulatory risk that can become relevant where a dispute happens, including the role of the Charity Commission and the possible implications of the recent case of MacLennan v The British Psychological Society.
  • The key issues in managing a dispute if one arises.
  • The steps all charities can take to help avoid a dispute arising in the first place.
